New CD Name: Top 10 Finalists! Vote Here!
Thank you all so much for all your great suggestions for a title for my new CD. This has been loads of fun for me, and I hope for you too.
By popular request, I've selected the Top 10 Finalist Titles from those that were submitted over the past few weeks. As I said at the outset, I don't guarantee to pick one of these as the final title for the disc but, if I do, the person who (first) submitted the name will get a free CD. I will also pick two runners-up (from this list of my Top Ten faves) to get free CDs. Finally, YOU get to vote for "The Pickers' Choice" from the following list of TOP TEN names suggested.
Here are the rules of engagement, designed to make my life simpler.
1. No more entries, please. They were great and my sides still hurt from laughing, but we gotta draw the line somewhere.
2.All votes must be done here in this thread.(Sorry, no votes by private email, since I don't want to be collating votes from different places.)
3. To vote, post a Reply to this thread that contains ONLY the NUMBER of your single, favorite title. Don't vote twice, and don't tell me your second choice, okay?
4. Don't put any comments in the thread, don't even type out the name of the title you're voting for. Just put, for example, "# 13" in your post and click "Submit Reply". This is so I don't have to read through a lot of text to find your vote in there somewhere.
5. Voting ends at Midnight US Pacific (Forum) time, July 22nd. That means anything posted on July 23 or later is void.
6. I will announce the winners on Labor Day weekend during my set at the International Steel Guitar Convention in St. Louis. If you're a winner and you're at the ISGC you can pick up your free copy from me there; otherwise I'll mail it to you.
7. All Decisions by the Judges are vinyl.
And thanks again for all the fun this has been!

#8 is my choice for two reasons-
This is commercially your best choice and because I am a huge fan of Gary Brooker who as we all know is the man behind one of the all time greatest bands- Procol Harum.
[This message was edited by Mike Shefrin on 20 July 2006 at 09:13 AM.]
