Mid-1960s Guyatone HG-96C Lap Steel For Sale.
Poor mans "fender" deluxe; And who ain't poor nowadays.
Once again I'm backed into a corner in this empire economy; They got the gold mine, we got the shaft. If I don't pay the garbage bill in the next few days they're gonna stop delivery.
This Guyatone is about as fine a condition as a person can find one in; 4 small bar dings, dried masking tape glue on fretboard (previous owner markers) and very minimal metal patina, and that's about it. Keeping with exceptional vintage instrument professional practices I have not touched this instrument other than wiping it down. I will be delighted to do an expert professional thorough cleaning should a Buyer desire, .....allthough it doesn't really need it.
A remarkable easter-egg aqua blue-green color. Sounds and plays great. Nice big tones for clean sounds; Wide clear tones for scooping out or graphing preferred tones; Razor sharp edge if dialed in ... smoothe and clean down in the J.B. sweet spot; A raucus banshee in higher gain settings. Unknown year of mid-1960s (Rocker switches had all but disappeared in the USA by 1969 except for remaining new old stock).
Regularly $450 .... now $325 for quick sale.

Posting a marker here is obviously OK; But please also EMAIL ME for faster detailed service; If my ship comes in here, I could very well be down at the greyhoud bus station panhandling.
Thank You,

Darn, Chris, ...I don't rightfully know; It's for the lady next door: My friends park their old rusty beach and fishin' cars in the front yard on the weekends when we get together in the back yard to play guitars, sing some songs, drink some beers, do some night fishin' on the beach, tell some tall tales, and cook on the bar-b-q, 'n all; But that crazy old fuddy-duddy lady says it ain't becoming of her neighborhood and she was gonna file some kind'a real serious complaint with her friends down at the county commissioners offices. 3 months ago she left on a 6 month vacation through Europe; So while she's been gone I figured I'd decorate her house up real nice before she gets back, ...being neighbors 'n all. I'd hate for her to return to an incomplete neighborly job !

re: >>> " Scale length? (probably 22 1/2"???) "
My REPLY: Yessir; 22.5".

re: >>> " Also, most important, do the 2 pickups humbuck, i.e. is one of them RWRP? "
My REPLY: No they are not / don't; Both pickups magnets are planet South up, both coil windings are identical on their bobbins.
But, should it be helpful, linked below is good internal views of a Kawai / Teisco's 4 pickups which are typical of Japanese pickups, and some info about the ease of making them humbucking for someone with reasonable understanding & skills disassembling, handling and reassembling pickups; (RP is required for humbucking, but RW is not):
