I am new to Digital Recording and would like some input on a "user friendly" software pkg. I recently purchased a Zoom R24 and I am looking for the best software for recording some simple projects with 5 or 6 tracks to mix. I have been reading about AcidPro,but I am open to suggestions. Thanks for your help!!

I'd take a look at cakewalk music creator, RealBand, or Powertracks.

These are all DAW type sequecers that work very well and are available at a good price at PG Music, the makers of Band In A Box.

Billy,
I don't think you need to buy anything else now.
I just read a little about Zoom R24 on this page:
http://www.samsontech.com/products/productpage.cfm?prodID=2054
and it looks like the unit will do simple recording, and even rather complex recording, by itself.

It says the R24 comes with a Cubase LE software, which is one of the top audio/MIDI programs (Pro Tools is much more popular but I like Cubase.)
LE="Limited Edition" which means that the Cubase LE User Manual is only 576 pages long. After you master that and decide you need more, then you can spend a few hundred bucks for a bigger version of Cubase, or even more to get Pro Tools.

BE & EB; here are some inputs on the Zoom R24.

I can't find tech/spec info re the guitar input impedance etc.

My latest toy is the Cakewalk Sonar X1 producer. Flexibility = complexity...when is "enough" too much?
