I played this show last year and it has become one of the best shows I have played. This year should be extra special having Doug Jernigan who is of course, one of the finest steel players of all time and has always been one of my personal favorites, plus having David Smith on bass is an extra bonus as he is legend too when it comes to bass players. I highly recommend this show to anyone who is thinking of going and Sharon Denny really knows how to host a great show.

I would like to thank Jerry, Herby, & Brett for the compliments on last year's show. We will be dedicating our show this year to our long time member and friend the late Don E. Curtis. Don never missed our show in 25 years. In addition to the artists that are already mentioned, we are planning to have the following guests: Jeff Surratt, Brett Lanier, Jerry Fessenden, Gary Adams and of course the great Doug Jernigan.

Yep! I will be there and will have a few new tunes that I will be playing. Mary and my daughter, Sandra, will be with me and we will have a small booth set up. I'm anxious to hear Doug Jernigan play and also to visit with David Smith too. David played the International Steel Convention with Buddy Emmons and other players as well. The date is Sunday, June 26th. See you there. Scotty

Looking forward to it. Always fun to meet new folks. Or should I say, it will be fun as long as I don't have to follow Doug Jernigan. A very used joke that's really is truthful. :)

Thanks to everyone , the show went great ... Sharon put a lot of hard work into getting everything ready . All the players did real well , and I noticed that the club members that played all had brought their playing up to a new level... Several out of town guys showed up and added to the mix,,,, Gary Adams surprised everyone with his "Avenger" tuned 12 string ... his playing was amazing , and showed how well this tuning can open up new ideas ... he had a "true jazz" sound and could play the traditional sounds too. David Smith played bass & Gary played guitar for me & and filled in on comedy too. Scotty had such great tone with that little steel he played & played real nice stuff ... Too many to remember today ... JF
