Guys I have just changed a U12 to a Ext. E 9th. I been doing some changing on my tuning. It sounds good to my ear, but maybe some of you have a better idea. My Es , Bs & F#s are 442. My G#s , D#s are 439. My Fs are 438. My Bbs are also 439. C#s are 440. My lead man says he likes the sound. Give me your imput. Thanks, Jim Yoder

Those numbers sound about right to me. I tune to cents offsets, but related to A=440Hz those are in the same ballpark.

PS: Most bands that I play with use electronic tuners.

Even people who use electronic tuners don't always play in tune. You have to learn to use your ears, too.

Jasen you are right. You have to use your ear. I do like tuning to the off cents system. Some of the older players I know have never done this & it's all greek to them. They just stay with 440. Thanks for your input. Jim Yoder.
