Murnel, Super job on a wonderful song, very nice ventures outside Buddy's oriinal lines. Send some more.
Charlie, If I didn't have so much time, money, and effort put in this crazy instrument I'd just sit back and listen to you, Danny & Danny, Buck, Royce, Murnel, Richard, Joe, Derrell and all the rest of the great Louisiana players. Apoligies to those I don't know or just old-timing out with my memory.
thanks,
Billy

Great job Murnel on a great Buddy Emmons song. Looks like you had the whole gang with you in the pictures. Please tell my buddy Richard Comeaux "hello" for me. Hope to see all of you in Dallas next year.

It just doesn't get any better than this, Murnel, great tune played with great emotion and soul. You and that Rittenberry sure make a great team. I have a Rittenberry too, but for some reason, I can't make it sound as good as you do...ha.
I will be placing my order for the cd, you can bet on it!
Thanks for the video.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.
As a side note:
Buddy's approach to this song is very high tension to actually perform it with his feel. When I was finished recording it, I had the worst tension headache!! I grew the turn concentrating on Buddy's verse melody. Did I succeed? HAHA
This was recorded using my red rittenberry D-10
Telonics Volume Pedal
Boss DD-3 in mono
Telonics Preamp
Yamaha AW2400 Digital Workstation.
The reverb you hear is from the Yamaha...I recorded it dry with the exception of my DD-3.
The bass guitar and rhythm guitar went straight into a Focusrite ISA One preamp, mic preamp
