I was hunting around for some flatted 5th sounds on the E9th tuning that were similar to those commonly heard on C6th. These are new to me but maybe old hat to many of you!
The first 3 riffs use the B to Bb knee lever. The last 2 riffs use the F# to G# raises on both strings 1 and 7 as well as the E to F knee lever.
Think of these as used in the song "When My Sweet Love Ain't Around" and going from the A chord to the D9th chord.
I am working on new tab pages for the F# to G# knee lever and the split Franklin pedal and should have these up soon.

Here's another cool use as played at 1:45 into Gene Watson and Rhonda Vincent's new album (Your Money and My Good Looks) song also entitled "Your Sweet Love Ain't Around". It doesn't go into the flatted 5th but does use the 1st string F# to G# raise. Note the chord progression is from B to E to D so the last part of this riff is at the 3rd fret!
1st time through is normal speed, 2nd time is slower, 3rd time uses a slide into the 4th fret. You could easily add the flatted 5th move to this!

Hey Greg, why can't I play these newest sound files you posted? I can play all of your older ones. But there's a window that comes up and say's "windows media cannot play this file" Or something like that.

Terry. all my later files are MP3's although some of the older ones on this page are wma's. WMP should play either one just fine. They play on my all computers with WMP in XP and WIN7. You could try updating your WMP and see if that fixes it.
