I am pretty sure that is Jim Vest. Go to Youtube and pull up the Jim Vest videos, which are very good, and see if it is the same guy. He talked about playing on Paycheck's "Slide off of Your Satin Sheets". He is the guy that lowered his tenth string and came up with some really cool sounds and licks. He played on the Vern Gosdin "Set Em Up Joe" record. Seems like a really nice guy. Let me know if that is him. I bet we hear from him, once he learns about this thread.

I thought so. His Legends of Steel videos are very good. I think there are 11 of them. He sits down with Tommy White and Stu Basore and Don Helms at his beautiful home, and they talk about steel guitar. I am waiting for some more of them to come out. Hey Jim, give us some more.
