| I know all of you folks like the "modern" steel guitar players, many are great, and will always be! Spend a few minutes listening to some of the older players and hear where the sounds came from, and became adapted to the pedal steel. Just try to get them on a "Straight Steel". And don't whimper and moan because it don't fit. They are there, if'n you can't find them, only a bit of work. Try it. Jay Y. |

| I just listened to Kayton Roberts play "The Waltz You Saved For Me" on the Marty Stuart Show. I've heard that tune played hundreds of times, but I've never heard it played any better. His tone was superb, as always, and I can't recall the last time I've heard a player (of any instrument) convey so much feeling. Kayton Roberts is truly a master of his craft. |
