Emmons LeGrande III ****Sold Please Close****

Post by Michael Keeton »

Up for sale is an Emmons Lashley LeGrande III, D10 8/5, in a aqua/teal color and I believe it has a compensator on the E9 neck. This guitar belonged to my father who passed away about 3 years ago. I don't play and don't know much about the guitar other than he bought it used as a spare, practice guitar, about 5 years ago. It looks to be in excellent condition and I've had an exprienced player from the forum check it out and he says it's in good condition. These are all the pictures I have, but I can take more, detailed, pictures if needed. I'm asking $3250 SHIPPED and I'll take Paypal if you split the fees, 1.5%. Please email or pm me with any questions. And thank you Steel Guitar Forum and all the forumites for helping me with my dad's equipment....

yes, he did have a pac stool, but at the moment I don't have any info on it. I haven't really got that far into it yet, been concentrating on the big stuff. When I do, I'll post up a new topic with pics and a price.

Looks like this Emmons has some sort of midi pickup on the E9 neck, nice.

giving michael a bump here. folks i have played this emmons and it is very nice. e9th neck is loaded. i don't think i ever saw wilber play this one out. pedals and knee levers are very smooth and, of course, sounds like an emmons should. i think they called this color 'cayman green'? this will make someone a very nice horn. plus michael, like his dad, is a super nice guy to deal with.

I don't know if this gives any more info about the E9th neck pickup, but here it is.

I can't say for sure, but I did find a pickup labelled "Emmons pickup" that may have come off this steel. I'm not sure, but it can go with the steel if someone wants it....
