Who else will be in Nashville? I am playing two shows a day with "Rosehill" at a new venue at the corner of Broadway and 1st. Since I will be mostly just hangin on the bus between shows, if ya wanna talk steel give me a shout. There should be a ton of good music too. I think there is music from early afternoon till 2am from a number of different folks. From my understanding, there is no admission fee to any show. _________________ Steve Stallings

Steve, I'll be at Riverstages Thursday around noon. Which venue are you playing at Broadway/First? That's right across from me. I'd love to come by if you're playing!

Kyle,
Wild Bill’s Nashville will be located in the historic Acme Feed and Seed building at 101 Broadway (First and Broadway). Currently on the bus rolling out of Houston... I'll go grab a rack in a while and sleep until we hit NV.
Looking fwd to it.....

Two shows left... one at 5 pm today and the last at 1am.
Most of my time has been spent hangin at the bus or in the lounge at Tenacity/Blue Guitar records. Our bus is parked just off Demonbreun just between the Tin Roof and Rhythm. I spent thursday night on Broadway clubbing. Sadly, Tootsies had a band playing an old Michael Jackson song when I started to walk in. I just turned around and walked out. We were with Manny (Manuel the clothes designer)and he took us to "Roberts Western World" for Blake and Mitch to sign a pair of boots. The band there was great with killer tele picker and stand up bass, but no steel. I left the guys and went in search of steel. I found a steel player across the street named Eddie who I enjoyed listening too. Next stop was down the street where I met a nice young player also named Eddie (Dunlap) who was playing a Franklin into a NV 112. Good player and nice guy. Ran into a player and his wife from Lampassas, Tx but darned if I can recall his name. (sorry guy). Went back and played our night show... Finished the night at Losers club just chilling on the patio.
One of the best parts of this trip has been getting to meet and talk steel with young steel player Ben Holst. Ben has only been playing steel for a year or so but is making really remarkable progress. He plays steel, lap steel, and guitar for Tyler Reeve. This band is great and we've had a lot of fun playing shows with them. _________________ Steve Stallings

Strange how you have a picture of someone in your mind before you meet them... I met Rusty Rhoads this afternoon right before I went on. I took a look at his Jackson but didn't get to hear him as I had another place to be right after the show. Anyway, I'm certain my playing did not blow Rusty away but I did have fun talking steel for a minute or two. One more show at 1am and we head back to Texas.. _________________ Steve Stallings
