So, I don't have any Jagwire stanless steel strings left but I will order some soon. Can you hear if strings 3 and 4 are not stainless steel?

Plain strings are all silvered steel. Compounds like Stainless steel and nickel only apply to the wound strings.
So no, you won't hear any difference on 3 and 4 because they are the same in both sets.

You're welcome. I'm assuming you're talking about pedal steel in the E9 or C6 tuning. There might be some other fixed tunings that use wound strings on 3 and 4.

Didn't think about that when I replied to your post.

On the difference between alloys, generally among wound strings, stainless are a bit brighter than nickel so if you mixed stainless and nickel wound strings, you might notice some difference in tone and balance.
