Roger, Donna and all thanks for a good show, and to all who attended. Doug was up to speed and played as only he can, doug the fish are still biting will keep you posted, will check them out this week and post pictures.
Some freat talent in the Ga. groupe you missed good one if you were not there.
We got a call at 1:00 AM after the show, Kurtis had to be rushed to the Hos, sunday nite passed out and will be there 3 days for check up. Belinda's baby, (22),so we had to get up and rush back to Valdosta. At home and resting up.

I got to the Jam late Sunday afternoon (around 2:00pm) but I got there in time to hear Tommy Dodd, Doug J and Roger Crawford with his band.
What I witnessed was some of the greatest talent on steel guitars. Pro level playing all around.
It's hard to say something without leaving someone out but I have to say, Georgia has some of the best steel guitar talent around. What a treat to hear such great players...all for a donation.
No matter who's playing at this show, its always great for those who attend. The prep and planning is first class.

Yes, it was great but just didn't seem complete without hearing Herby Wallace and getting to hang out with him a bit. Let's all pray for him for next time!
Doug was awesome as Earnie already said and I particularly enjoyed Bill Ferguson's sound.
Check out Tommy Dodd's new CD. I got a copy yesterday and listened through it 3 times on the way home.
Once again a special thanks to the officers for giving us an event like this at home. It was long overdue when the organization was formed.
Looking forward to the next time!

Yes, it was a great Georgia Peach Jam once again at the Hollonville Opry House! I'm not shy about telling everyone how much I love this place - so in case you missed it the other 200 times I've said it, I LOVE THE HOLLONVILLE OPRY HOUSE!!
We missed some of our members who didn't come for various reasons: Gene Still, Barney Miller, Brett Day, Shorty Smith.
It was an honor having Doug and Jetta Jernigan as our guests!! You could have heard a pin drop when he played. It was magical!
We all really enjoyed hearing the Filmore Band and Roger Crawford - the PREZ CAN PLAY!!
And speaking of the PreZ - did he do a great job in the auction or what??
Also, I love seeing guys play who haven't been part of the regular line-up. Scott Kirk had a very nice set - and what a gorgeous guitar!! Maybe the trick is driving to Macon first, missing your time-slot, then playing without shoes??
I can't go without saying something about my husband - he's my favorite player in the world. I never tire of hearing him play - and like Bill Ferguson says, "that's the way it's supposed to be with wives!" Timeless Highway's new lead singer, Randy McDonald, is a terrific new member of the band. He has great talent, a wonderful heart, fabulous voice and a jewel of a partner-in-life, wife - Teresa. The band is stronger than ever with Randy!! Next time, I think he may just do Georgia. It was the first time I heard them with the new members "officially," that is.
Ernie Cawby and his family drive a long way to support the Georgia peach jam - and they are my adopted family. I'm sorry to hear about Kurtis, and will pray for his health. Good set, Ernie! I love you all!!
Special thanks to the back-up band - Jim, Woody, Johnny, Wayne1, Wayne2, Bill Cunningham - your guys are the BEST!!
Next time, get there by 10:00 to hear Bob Evens play - WHAT A TREAT!!
Thank you to all who played, all who volunteered your time, all who attended, your generous donations - and to the Opry House for making it possible in a venue that makes wonderful memories that will last a lifetime!

Sorry to be so late jumping in here with the proper "Thank You's" that are deserved here. First...we have one of the finest staff bands that you can imagine. Woody, Johnny, Wayne, Wayne and Jim, plus Bill and Billy giving the boys a break. WOW!!! Bill, we need to have you on staff. Not only an excellent steeler, an excellent bass guitarist as well.
Stage crews earn their keep, and Bill Nicholson and Larry Moore were on the spot all day and kept things moving like they should.
Emcee work requires a special talent, and along with his special talent on steel, Tommy Dodd keeps things moving and interesting between players.
Running the front desk getting everyone greeted, signed in, and signing up new members and handling the donations, Donna Dodd. I think I even saw her with a broom after the show!
And what kind of show would it be without all of the players??? Too many to list, but all did an excellent job. And add Doug Jernigan to that mix...again, WOW!!!
And for our "special cause", THANK YOU to every member and guest that participated. We'll have an update for you soon.
Be on the lookout for details about the December Jam!
Thanks to all,
Roger Crawford
