I need a 1/2 inch lift kit fitting for a Carter. I need to raise my 1st pedal (Franklin pedal) about 1/4 - 1/2 inch, and it is already adjusted up to the max. I can't lower pedal 2 (C pedal) as it is adjusted to work with the 3rd pedal and the 3rd and 4th pedals are already lowered to the max before the 4th pedal would hit the floor. I already have a 1" lift kit on all 9 pedals, but need 1 shorter link that screws onto the rod and the ball fitting screws onto.
Any ideas?? _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Playing for 55 years and still counting. |

I would contact Al Brisco. He has all the remaining Carter parts. _________________ Adam Sorber

Check out ACE hardware type store for threaded hex long stock.

Richard, I just bought a carter D10,it had a lift that looks to be about 2 inches, its the extenders on the pedal rods, male on one end and female on the other, let mw know if these will work. |

As Larry said, go to Ace and look for "coupling nuts, they come in a variety of lengths and threads, I think prolly yours are #10-32tpi, scew em on the pedal rod end ,screw in some 10-32 x 3/4" set screws to attach the ball pivot coupling back on and yer done....Stormy....ps u can find the hex coupling nuts in chrome also for a nice pro look. |

Richard...Without knowing the amount of available thread on your pedal rods, I thought I would throw this out there anyway. If you removed the extender from pedal one and used only the stock pedal coupler, could you back it off approximately 1/2" to acheive the results you seek? (This adjustment may also allow you the freedom to raise the height of the other three pedals if you wish). |

Thanks guys.
Gerald. I currently have 1" extenders on the guitar now. I just can't get the first pedal higher than the second. I would need a shorter lift "fitting".
David... I tried that and the rod is not long enough to reach the pedal with no lift fitting.
I will definitely check out Ace. Thanks again. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Playing for 55 years and still counting. |

That's what I love about Mullen ! I needed a 1/2" raise on my guitar and they came through. I could of made it with a 1" but the 1/2" was perfect.
I guess you can figure I had problems with the folks at Carter ! You get what you pay for .
Hate I rattled some chain's out there. I'm sure I will hear about it. LOL _________________ Bill |

Actually, I would prefer the 1/2". I have a 1/2"spacer, but I can't find a shorter 10-32 set screw. I tried Ace, 2 Orchard supply's, and Home Depot. I want a 3/4" long set screw, but I guess they don't make a 10-32 3/4" set screw.
If anyone knows where I can get one, I would appreciate knowing. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Playing for 55 years and still counting. |

Thanks again. I managed to find a 3/4" set screw yesterday. I think that will fix me up the way I want it. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) .
