WTB--Miller steel--D-10...any condition considered

That's right folks! I want an older-the-better, basket-case Miller steel guitar. I have this idea...and to work on it, I need a Miller.

It must be a D10, Have changers, have keyplates(tuners are not too important), legs, a pedalbar, endplates, some of the undercarriage...cross shaft rails at least and a few cross shafts. Fretboards? who cares? Beat up with bar dings? No problem! Ugly? My favorite!!! CHEAP, yes!

Head for the junk heap, dig it out, I want it.

Please keep us posted on your "idea". I have an S10 Miller student model which I've been tinkering with to add and tune knee levers. So far, all the added parts have been homemade, except the levers themselves.

I'd be interested in any leftovers you might accumlate, especially the cast bellcranks. Mine are rather crudely cut from barstock. They work, but definitely have an amateur look.

Hey Gary if you need odd parts for a Miller here's a quote from an old thread:

"Any part that you might need can be purchased from Chuck Back at "Desert Rose Steels". He has tons of parts"

I might call him for a junk body?

EDIT: Chuck does NOT have the Miller stuff...however, he will likely have my business for a Delta Blues model in the future...what a guitar!!

If I still had mine, I would donate it to the cause... I think I used it for firewood many moons ago.... I hated it more than my first wife! Good luck though...

I might have what you need sir. I have been told its a Miller, but that seems to be the default label for any old unknown geetar with all pull changers.

I acquired a basket case to work on and the pickups are NFG. I am trying to decide if I should restore it, turn it into a non-pedal, or part it out (I need a couple things off it).

Ill send you a picture of it. I am not ready to part with it just yet, but at least you can tell me if its what you are looking for.

I am back to thinking about this...God help me!

An S-10 would work, in fact might be better in some ways.

Even an S-8 or D-8.

The basket-case is still my best bet though.
