I Owe It All To Bobbe

Post by Tom Bradshaw »

Finally, Bobbe has revealed the secret of my success. Few know that after he graduated from "The MSA School of Cosmotology" in Dallas in the mid-'60s, Bobbe begged me to be his first customer. I eagerly accepted. He gave me a "perm" that was, well, "permanent". It was a humbling experience and one I've never recovered from. However, I ended up making a fortune on what I saved from not having to buy combs and never needing another beauty shop appointment. Love you, Bobbe.

Add me to the list

Post by Marke Burgstahler »

I got my very first steel about 3 years ago. When a few weird things began to happen with it (other than the weird noises I was making), I had no idea who to call. I did some online research, I found this guy named Tom Bradshaw, and lo and behold - he lived in the same city as me! I have taken my guitar over there numerous times for tweaks and adjustments, thinking "ah geez - this wonderfully experienced and honorable guy has got to be suffering a newbie like me". But no - I NEVER felt like I was being treated like anything other than a valued customer and new friend. Tom's insight into this new world I was discovering, and his suggestions, and his willingness to help me with my guitar issues - well let's just say I am honored.

Add me to the list, too. Thank you, Tom!

Not knowing me from Adam, I ordered an item from Tom, a few years back, and it was on the way before I had my money on the way. Got to talk to him on the phone a few times. Couldn't ask for no one to be any nicer. AND I believe Tom is the one who donated alot of merchandise to the Forum. And I'm talking big bucks. Now I may be mistaken about that but don't think so. ANNNNND I don't believe he's a member of the Steel Guitar HOF and if not, should be.But we also have another friend here who is not a member of the Steel Guitar HOF and that is Bobbe Seymour. Tom and Bobbe both should be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Just my 2%.

Steady Rolling Man

Some guys have given so much to the steel community over the years. Tom is one such guy who's done it for decades as a supporter of those of us who have needed help and he's still rolling on. THANKS, TOM, stevet

I couldn't agree more with ALL the postings, above, except to indicate that Tom IS in the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame; he was inducted in 2006 - & I missed being there!! See following attachment. Regards, Jim H.

I don't play my steel out very much since I'm playing guitar in a blues band now but when I found Tom he was the biggest help to me and I was flabbergasted by the honest way he conducts business and how helpfull he was. He was the only person who could find me some teflon washers that go on MSA changers and as I remember he had to get someone to manufacture them, and he didn't know me from Adam. I would never consider going to anyone else for anything for my steel. Lets get this list up to the thousands. One day I'll get down to Concord to meet you. I don't post too much here but When I saw this I had to add my endorsment.
