Calvin Walley steel player

Post by Bo Legg »

Has anyone heard from him since July 2010? Maybe a steel player around Colorado City, Colorado (where he listed as being from) might could find out something regarding him. Thanks Bo

Somebody made a smart remark to him and he got pissed and said he was quitting the forum.

Calvin was beaten up pretty badly on a thread about the new ways the steel is being used in today's music. As I recall, he made some very foolish statements, and even got into an argument with Paul Franklin.

I thought he made a fool of himself, but at the same time, I felt sorry for him for the way everybody piled on him.

Mike I don't think you mean everyone in the literal sense,
I don't pile on. Most were just trying to reason with him. You want to see real piling on just read some of Stuart Legg's topics.
Calvin was relentless in hammering on me in my topic. I think most of us recognized at times his replies were not normal. I don't think any one could justify painting him a victim here.
I was feeling guilty that I didn't notice that it had been almost a year since his last Post and he stated that he had advanced lung disease. However I think I've read enough here to to kill any guilt I might have had.

I agree Mike,I thought Calvin was a pretty decent fellow,[Did'nt agree with him about everything] For whatever reason all of a sudden seems he got a chip on his shoulder as big as a bufflo pattie.Remember the last few post were way outside the box. YOU BETCHA,DYK?BC.

The way I see it, we all have problems to one degree or another, and we should all try to be nice to each other, even if or when somebody acts like a buffoon.

Maybe The fact that Calvin was so seriously and possibly terminally ill clouded his judgment.

If he is as sick as you say,I will say a prayer for him and GOD bless him. I do remember he had COPD and was having trouble breathing,Same here. Cigs got me to,smoked for 55 years, quit over a year ago,am a LOT better but will NEVER be well. But there's millions half my age that are in worse shape than me.So I feel lucky to still be kicking thank the GOOD LORD. YOU BETCHA,DYK?BC.

When you boil it down to the low gravy, I think Calvin does'nt like anything but good old country music, and there is nothing you or anyone else can say (as witnessed by the thread)to change his mind.
