Because the Booze Festival(Blues Festival)is going on here in Eureka Springs this weekend, just about all the local pickers are out of weekend jobs. They hire outsiders to come in. I did get a wedding reception tomorrow...luckily. All the clubs have the "blues" people come in and play. Next weekend it will be back to the regular picking jobs for the local musicians. I guess we can be off one weekend a year. I'll be at the Basin Park Balcony next Friday from noon to three with the Hogscalders. Then Friday evenings after that at the Grand Central Hotel from 6-9 playing "mingle" music for the diners. Sunday it's Jazz Brunch at Local Flavor restaurant downtown.Check the local papers for other places featuring live music.

I am filling in on lead guitar for guitarist David George at Annie's Country Jubilee, 4th. & Main, Tonganoxie, Kansas, Saturday, June 3, 2006. I am looking forward to working with the band, some members I know and others it will be my first time to work with them, but I have heard excellent comments from others who have had the opportunity to work with them and say they are a great band to work with, so it should be a good evenging for me. Now I won't say it will be a great evening for them with David being gone, but I can only make one person happy at a time, so I will start with me. Hope everyone else on TSG page has a great and safe weekend pickin'.

I will be playing piano Saturday night with the Heartland Band at Treasure Lake Resort in Branson.
Tonight, I will go to a couple of jam sessions in Webster County, Missouri. I am running for prosecuting attorney in Webster County, and those are good places to campaign.

A dance in Suches Georgia with Jim Wood and The Woodpile.
They actually have old time Appalachian square dances as part of this event like I haven't seen since I was a small kid in the 1960's. 150 couples dancing in the high school gym with the caller and lead couple leading the entire team out the back door, around the building, and back in the front!
Oh and....Jim Wood and Jerry Braswell will be singing lots of Classic Country and assorted southern rock.
