James you played great do not miss any more meetings, looking to see you there next month. You brought a great crew of back up with you, they sure were nice to meet, bring them back next time.
The picture Nick posted was him playing Jacks Franklin, backing up some of the singers at catfish's sesonal tues, sessions, they are great fun and some fine singing for 3 hours, $10.00 fee and a catfish dinner to boot, a full house, many were turned away at the door because it was full house. I will go back again next year.

Hi Ernie,
Thanks for the kind words. Everyone's friendliness made "breaking the ice" a lot easier. I thoroughly enjoyed the jam and am looking forward to the next one. John White, who rode up with me is a steeler too. He claims to be just a "back-up" player and doesn't know many instrumental. But has a great style and does real well. Trying to talk him into bring his ax next time.
I'm glad Jack got to play. When I saw his Franklin missing I was disappointed, but it turned out good anyway!
BTW, you sure do a real good job singing. Wish I'd heard that Shobud more!
When is the next seasonal tues session? That sounds good.

James, Thanks for joining in with us. Bring your steel anytime you want - you did great.

The Catfish Johnny "Tuesday Jams" are a winter thing. We do a weekly show every Tuesday at noon, starting the 1st Tuesday in November through the last Tuesday in April. Our "regular" backup band, beside me, is Karl Congdon on drums (he was there last night), Bernie Waldon on Bass (his is usually at the club jams) and my wife Trudy on rhythm guitar and backup vocals.

Jack, that sure sounds like a lot of fun. Looking forward to winter time. That's hard to beat--good music and great food to boot!
See you next time....

I don't do backup but I do a little lead pickin on an old Multi-Kord once in a while. Ya all got room for an old timer from Indiana with a Multi-Kord?
We have a little place near Belleview Fl. where we spend the winter and we know where Catfish Johnnies is.

I want to thank everyone for all their healing prayers. I have had so much chemo and raditition! Thank the Lord: the cancer is in remission. Now, maybe I can start jamming with the fine musicians in the Florida Steel Guitar Association. I've met some great steel players.

I really hate to travel the distance because gas is so expensive. But, I thank Jack for inviting me to come down and join in the fun. It was a blast! It's been over 25 years since I've had the opportunity to play my drums to some good ol' country music.

I'd like everyone to say a prayer for Jack's recovery, and God bless everyone in the group.
