Curious if anybody has one or used one of these, they get a generally high "bang-for-the-buck" rating. I'm interested in the difference in noise floor the new MKII version is supposed to have as well. Thanks.

I found it interesting not to have heard anything about these from recordists here, as there's enormous traffic on the web about these pres. Lots of discussion about possible improvements via modding and debatable necessity of that.
I broke down and bought one the other day, and I have to say it's stellar. Absolutely huge bang-to-buck ratio.
Colored in a very nice, Nevey way, a great compliment to cleaner pres. It compares extremely favorably to most of my many other preamps, and frankly I think needs no mods. I would like to have 4 or 6 of them!

I'm putting this in my short list of amazing gear for amazing prices. They have just released a MKII version and I'm sure there will be blowout deals on the original models. Heads up here, no kidding.
