I got to see Fiddlin Frenchie Burke at Pearl's Dance hall in the Stockyards Fort Worth Sunday night. I remeber Frenchy from back in the day, with hits like Big Mamoo, Jody Blon. At 70 years young, he is still the consummate entertainer holding the audiences attention, and I never heard his voice waiver even on the high ones. He was backed up by The Insider Band, and put on a great show. Another thing I noticed about Frenchie is that he appears to be not only a great act, but a humble man. If you ever get a chance to see Fiddlin Frenchie Burke in person, I highly recommend it. Great showman.

I think this man is a machine! I had the great pleasure of working with him for quite some time and doing a lot of the recording. I don't remember ever seeing him take the stage without that same fire. Even after working late at night, he would come into the studio at 10:00am and when he would count the song off, the headphones would jump off your head. Still to this day, working with Frenchy was one of the grandest periods of my life.

Frenchy is definitely a class act. All musicians love him as he treats them with respectEveryone who has worked with Frenchy or listened to his music will attest to his showmanship, and his expertise on the fiddle and his great singing ability. He does know how to entertain a crowd. Jody.
