| The Gary Vogensen band with Bobby on steel will be playing at SoHo in Petaluma Ca. on May 27. My friend, bassist Steven Strauss was called by Bobby to play in a band that as Bobby put it would play stuff that the players wanted to play. Aparently it will be a jazzy eclectic mix of cool music. I can't make it to this show myself but this looks like something to watch for. Steven told me that they will also do some trio singing which will include Bobby. They're rehearsing!! |

It was great. They did a lot of jazz standards. They also did some country stuff like Buck & Merle and a Commander Cody tune. Bobby even sang a handful of tunes including an obscure Bob Wills number. The placed was packed and we had to stand most of the time.
If they come around again, I'll be going for sure.

| Mark... I hate to say this BUT you missed one great night of music.Dave said all. Also I think there were about 6 to 8 steelers there taken in the show. This group is on my top ten list of must see again. |
