Post by Dave Morrison »

Gary.I do still have the same mullen guitar Ive had since 1995.Occasionally I just use an amp these days instead of toting my stereo steel rig around, although I must confess I love the stereo sound better. If you see anyone interested I have two ss rigs so I probably would part with one. Till next time Dave

Gary, thanks for putting on another great jam. It's 1:20am and I still can't wind down from the good time had by myself, and I'm sure everyone else that was there. Man, what a crowd. Practically standing room only. I can't remember what the count was, but it was either 17 or 19 steel guitars and 1 lap steel (played by Wilson Brinkley). The musicians as usual were on top of it and it was a nice treat having the fiddle player. All I can say is, if you can't be in Dallas, you might as well be at the Columbus jam. It was really a great time, good music, and good food. Thanks to all who support the Ohio Steel Guitar Assoc.

'' Wonderful Jam ''

Post by Gary Preston »

:D Hey guys . I must say we had another great time and a great crowd . Our backup band was on the money . So many great steel guitar players and side men . We had good guest singers that are always happy to help us out . Thanks to all of our folks that helped with the operations of the jam ,we couldn't do it without them . Mike our lap steel players name is Wilson Brinkley . I have called him Wilson Brimley many times as most people know Brimley is the guy on T.V. that advertises medical supplies ! I suppose i'm having some of that ''part timers '' thing folks talk about !!! Where was i ?? I am very pleased with our people that make the jams successful as they are . My wife told us it looks like we will have to change the date of the next jam because of Easter Weekend . I know we have changed it already but it looks like we will have to get another date . I will post it when we get the next date . We will send out a notice to everyone that signed the guest paper so they will know . I think the rest of the schedule is fine for the year . Sorry for the change . Again i am very happy with our first jam of the year lets keep them coming . Thanks to everyone and best regards . By the way i got to meet a few new folks and was glad to get to talk with them a little ,the jam is open to all . G.P. P.S. sorry for rambling on

Gary,
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed playing this time. I struggled at times, but, man did I ever learn a lot. This was the first time I've seen Phil Perry in about 4 years, and the first time ever that I have been able to sit beside him and pick his brain. It just got me fired up more than ever about my playing and the need to reherse and try new things. I had a hard time coming down last night from the high i had. Steel Guitar....what a good drug !

As usual we had a great time at the jam. The backup band was wonderful as usual, and I really enjoyed the fiddle player. The crowd seems to be growing too. Thankful for our Ohio friends. We make new friends every time we come. Thanks to Gary and all who help him put the jam together.

Pedal master guitars

Post by Steven Black »

Well here is the accurate date, my band the Rhino saddle cowboys will be at the Garden Inn on Cleveland Ave in Columbus Ohio, so come out and listen, we start at 8:00pm, and Pedalmasters makes the best guitars just my opinion. Steve B.
