Last year I was lucky enough to own (if only for a short while) a ShoBud Maverick. Despite all the warnings on this forum, I really enjoyed it while I had it...it sounded great, played well and stayed in tune. It even looked great, with it's natural timber finish. I admit, it did lack any knee lever, but I was in the process of organising one. Sadly, financial circumstances changed suddenly (er...fuel injection system on my RV failed...vacation looming ...fund-raising required) and I had to raise some cash. So the Maverick had to go. Since then I have been re-building my bank balance and dabbling
with various lap steels and resonators, and have just finished re-furbishing a 60's Mosrite Dobro square neck. (see the 'steel without pedals'category). Anyway, I'm really pleased with the Mosrite and I'm happily playng away...but this little voice keeps saying..'bet you wish you had a ShoBud again! Well, actually, yes I do....but I'm in no rush. So I thought I'd put this thread out there: If anyone has an old ShoBud Maverick, three-pedal/one knee lever, any condition (almost) and would like a just-restored all original Mosrite square-neck instead....or maybe has a price in mind and would wait while I e-bayed my Dobro....drop me a line and we could have a chat and see what develops.
Thanks for your time, regards from the Emerald Isle.

Elton,
I had to sale my Jackson Blackjack a year ago, and have had the fever so bad lately to get another one. The funds are still low and this is a price I can afford.
Please consider selling your maverick to me. |
