G'day all. I have a 'Parina' 3 x 3 S10. Peter Williams -Australia, the builder of these fine steels, made this guitar with a scale length of 24". His guitars were normally 24 1/4" so he used a ShoBud fretboard (2D) and not his own. I thought a 3D would look better and saw a plastic one on e-bay recently.( too costly) I thought they were aluminium? Are there any out there and cost? I certainly will not be putting a plastic one on.
Any info would be great.( Dust collecting is an issue I know)
many thanks
Jeff

I have a pair of cast aluminum raised graphics Sho-Bud fretbords, however they are narrower than you are probably looking for. They are on a 1961 ten string guitar. They have the card suits. They are a cross between the early Bigsby fretboards that were cast as part of the neck and a Sho-Bud fretboard. These mount with screws and are quite thick.

Thanks for this info Chris, Is this a parts guitar or a player? It certainly looks like it would be a lovely guitar. I am unsure if you were offering me a fretboard or just offering some info on these types of fretboards. I ceratinly did not realise these f/b's existed. Are they 24" scale? and my guitar is 10 string so width would be very very close I would guess
Many Thanks
Jeff
