Steel Guitar Work - Pacific NW- "Rev" teardrop lev

Post by Frank Sprague »

For the past year or so I've been doing some work on pedal steels , and have become fairly proficient at setup , changing copendants , installing pickups , and some machine work . I'd like to offer this service to steel players in the Seattle , Vancouver BC area . . I'm currently working on a website for more info . . Thx. Franko
I've attached some photos of a reversed "teardrop" style knee lever with flag - Includes a set screw in the slot for angle adjustment . . I made a pair for my Sho-Bud - and I can certainly make more . .

I wish you would have posted this a couple of months ago, I have a guitar you could have taken a look at and I'm just a few miles away. Unfortunately I'm getting ready to bug out of here on Wednesday. :\

Usually a good "Machinist" can understand the inner workings of the Pedal Steel Guitar and would know why something was not functionjing right and then be able to fix it. One of my sons looked under my Guitar one day, but did not ask how it works. He asked me to push down on a pedal and a knee lever, followd the action, and then informed me what was happening and why it works. He would have loved to take it apart but I said "forget it"!

I just got one of Frank's flag knee levers - it's great! LKL on my Pro 1 was hitting my knee in a very uncomfortable way. So much better now! Frank is a great guy to deal with. :D
