Greg Leisz/BillFrisell duo live rec.// & a Buddy Miller

Post by Al Moss »

Bill Frisell's web site offers up a bunch of live show recordings. This is a link to a newish one that's a duo gig of just Greg Leisz and Bill Frisell. I downloaded a copy, am enjoying it, and thought that others who go in for this sort of thing might like to know about it too.
Here's the link: http://www.billfrisell.com/artists/Fris ... _link.html

..also got a copy of the Buddy Miller's Majestic Silver String band: Frisell, Leisz, Miller and Marc Ribot, and shall listen in just a few minutes, looking forward to it.
here's a link for info on that one from the LA Times:

I'm a huge Frisell fan -- even had a chance to take a master class with him a few years ago. This is a great combination. Typical Frisell wanderings with great playing from both. Well worth $11 (and its not iTunes).

There's a nicely produced DVD of the making of the Majestic Silver Strings album that accompanies the CD. It's an interview/behind the scenes profile of lots of charming studio and performance stuff. -some nice shots of Greg Leisz's Williams steel and his Frypan too.
