"Have I Told You Lately That I Love You" Bishop R.

Post by Bishop Ronnie P Hall »

Hello My fellow Steelers! :)
Here is a short melodious rendering of the Van Morrison song, covered by the rock singer Rod Stewart. It is not perfect, but it is heartfelt.
I hope it is enjoyed!

This kind of took me by surprise. I was expecting the old Hank Snow hit...

Have I told you lately that I love you ?
Could I tell you once again somehow ?
Have I told with all my heart and soul how I adore you ?
Well darling, I'm telling you now.

My world would end today if I should lose you.
I'm just no good without you, anyhow.
This heart would break in two if you refuse me.
Well darling, I'm telling you now.

Have I told you lately how I miss you
When the stars are shining in the sky ?
Have I told you why the nights are long when you're not with me ?
Well darling' I'm telling you now.

My world would end today if I should lose you.
I'm just no good without you, anyhow.
This heart would break in two if you refuse me.
My darling, I'm telling you now.

I didn't know there was another song with the same name. :whoa:

Hi Al :D ! My friend! (Brookes)
You know, I remember the Hank Snow song, but I found the Hall & Oates rendering that had been covered by the rock singer Rod Stewart, some time ago, and it sounded like something that I could possibly play in the style that I play easily. ( Or so I thought). Never the less, it didn`t turn out too bad! (Or so my wife says :D ) Anyway, I just did the best I could. Thanks my dear friend.
Ron
PS, Thanks for the lyrics on the Snow version, I never could remember them, but the melody lingered on.
