Streaming Live Non Pedal Sessions

Had to work

so I missed alot of the broadcast but what I was able to see I really did enjoy!

I use this channel on Saturdays for the William Litaker pedal steel lesson sessions he does and I think this channel is a great tool for folks. I am hopeing that there will be a re-broadcast of these great non-pedal sessions in the near future!!...please??

BUMMER!!!
I watched it all day yesterday.
Maybe it's not on because the maximum number of people viewing it was 46....maybe it's not enough to make it worthwhile to whoever is footing the bill (Thanks Mr. Pilburn and whomever else is involved)
Did anyone ever see the number of viewers go higher?

I dunno....it sure was awesome while it was on!

You know-I would not mind a 'subscription' fee to see these events in the future, maybe that would get more of these events 'on the air' .

I was watching on and off yesterday (caught Cindy's performance, yippiiee!!), highest number I noticed was 47..... Not directly overwhelming considering the forum has 10.000 registered members, and as I write this there are 162 users online..

Thanks so much to Mr. and Mrs. Boards for making that happen for Rick's Session. I only wish he could still be there and that is was possible when he was there to see it live. If it had, I'm sure he would have included it. He would have loved that! He would come home all excited to show me the videos and tell me about everyone. I finally got to see the people he knew and loved so much, as it happened. I was never able to attend the conventions, because of obligations at home. Without going into too much personal detail, being able to see everyone and even interact was a game changer for me. I have not been able to listen to his music since he died. I wasn't sure I could watch, but I was so caught up in it, I forgot my grief for awhile. Rick looked forward all year to those conventions and seeing everyone. He had so many plans for the sessions and I'm so happy to see they are still being carried out. It was an awesome event. There is nothing like being there in person, for sure, but for those of us unable to attend, it was very generous of everyone to share with us. Rick always said it was like a family and everyone tried to help one another. I know he did. I never saw him as happy at any point in his life, as he was when he joined the steel community. So, I thank everyone in his behalf, as I know he would want me to do. God bless you all.

The live stream was for Friday only because George & PJ had to leave Fri evening......this was an experiment and was extremely successful....even with only 47 people it was well worth it....hopefully we can broadcast all of the weekend next year and I'm sure that more people will tune in.....

Thank you Mr & Mrs Boards.....you made people very happy and brought The Rick Alexander Non Pedal Sessions right into the living room of Cathe who could see how much Rick affected everyone in the most positive of ways.....

The one thing that myself & Jeff want to steer clear of are fees....we feel that it's best to keep this a "free" event and not have to keep track of fees.....I put the word free in quotes because in order to keep this venue going, we need donations which is the gas in our tank..... we do encourage people to make a donation of whatever they are comfortable sending.....

The new PayPal address for donations to the Rick Alexander Non-Pedal Sessions is:

Going forward, please use this email address for future PayPal donations. You can choose to send it as a "gift". If you can, please add 3% to cover the PayPal fees, as they do take a percentage.

The account was just created this AM, so if someone would like to test it out to be sure it works, please do...it should be ready to go!

You can also still email me via the forum link or post a reply here if you make a donation.

So to sum up, here are the different ways people can donate:

1. Cash, in person, if you're coming to the convention (easiest)

2. PayPal as a gift via RANONPEDAL@GMAIL.COM

3. If you need a tax receipt for a large donation (such as Mark Roeder's), you'll still have to send it to the TSGA. We are under their non-profit umbrella (it's too expensive and too much red tape to create a non-profit status just for the NP Sessions).

4. Checks & money orders will have to be made out to me (Jeff Strouse) and sent to:

Thank you Howard and Jeff for all your hard work and dedication to this project. It was such a privledge to witness Billy R. Chuck L., and Cindy C. playing together. Not only are they all, obviously, great players, but each with such a different style and tone. Hearing them in such an intimate setting, really made each of them, their sound, and style, stand out. Where else could something like this happen? It is something I will never forget, and has given me even greater appreciation for the instrument. Thanks again for keping this going.

I hope the two of you are finally getting some rest. You deserve it.
