It's time to announce the 12th Annual Convention of the Siloam Springs Steel Guitar Club, being held on April 22nd & 23rd at the Arkansas Baptist Assembly Campgrounds. The 1400 seat Convention Center is located one mile south of U S Highway 412 on Arkansas Highway 59 South. This years Featured Artist is David Wright from Modesto,California. We are planning a "JAM" at 7 to 10 pm Friday evening (April 21st).So Fred,Terry,Keith,Buck,Wayne and the rest of you that come in on Friday,be prepared to jam with us Friday night. They are even talking about jamming after Saturday nights session. Better bring your seat cushions. If you have an R-V and want to bring it to the convention, we have 6 full hookup sites available for you to use at no charge. Don't forget that admission to our shows is FREE.I will consider your response to this post as your confirmation for the players schedule. That will save me a lot of time contacting our guests or you can e-mail me at Osbourn@centurytel.net. I will post the players schedule later,as it comes together.Roger

Well Lana; Delores baked 4 big sheet cakes for us. We had 2 gallon sized tubs of ice cream. Girl,I want you to know that the snow lasted around here longer than the cake and ice cream did. Now don't fret about it. I'll have some ice cream sandwiches for you in April and I still have your gift.We couldn't eat that.Have a safe trip down Sis.

Roger - You ate all that cake and ice cream? Oh my gosh! I'm gonna have to talk to Delores. I wonder if she knows you didn't share? Kind of like Ben O'Dell, eating my cake on the way home from the bakery! HA!

Can't wait - really looking forward to the show! It's gonna be a goodun!!

Ray;Your room will be ready. Your on the schedule around 7 pm Saturday.

Jerry; Your 30 minute slot is at 4:35 Saturday.I'll try not to move you unless you have another preference.

Freddie; I'm delighted that Brenda is coming with you this time.If she's as pretty as your steel playing is,then she's a knock out.
P.S. What am I supposed to tell the two hookers.

Scotty & Teresa; Your always at the top my list. I'll have everything ready for you.

Keith & Beverly; it's always a delight to have you both.

Miss Lana;I'm not sure what happened to the cakes and ice cream.I do one mile, twice per day on my treadmill to manage my blood pressure and can't afford the extra calories. If you'd been here, I would have enjoyed some with you anyway.

Looking forward to a "Jolly" good time. This Siloam Springs Convention and Baxter Springs Convention are the highlights of the year! Can't wait!! We'll be in on Friday! Fred Layman is coming this year. Fred started the Steel Guitar show in Lexington, KY years ago and the show is still going on today. He lives in Springfield, Mo now. He had people like Rob Parker, Bobby Seymour, Herbie Wallace, Scotty, and others. I know he'll want to meet you, Roger, and talk shop. He's also written a steel guitar course. I heard him play at Indianapolis Gospel Steel Show. We're looking forward to a GREAT WEEK-END.
