I've been reading reviews on these amplifiers and it seems like lead guitar players love them. Wondering what they might be like for steel guitar. They have a blue marvel speaker and are 80 watts. They are also fairly cheap. Appreciate your input on this. I may buy one for a spare if they work for steel. Nigel

I've got one with the Sheffield speaker and the steel I was playing when I used this amp had a single coil pickup which I think sounded pretty good, better than a humbucker pickup which didn't sound bad. If you can get a PV Nashville series amp you'll probably be more satisfied but I've been wrong before. Go what works for you and I'm not saying I wouldn't use my Bandit for steel again.

I use an Envoy 110 and it's loud and clean.
Reverb isn't the greatest but for small rooms and practice it's perfect. Got it used in mint condition for $100.
