Very cool Joe!... That "cellphone filter" imparts a very vintage sound to the steel... If I didn't know better, I would have said that was done by a good player with an early 60's wood neck steel, through an old tube amp, onto an old reel to reel recorder!... I want to get that sound !... Nice playing!,,, bob

Hi Joe, that sounded great. So,what's the procedure you used? what kind of phone? how close to amp?

Thanks for the responses so far, guys.

Andy, here's the procedure info for ya:

Pedal Steel: 70's Emmons S-10
Amp: 1973 Fender Twin Reverb
Cell Phone: Blackberry Bold
Distance from cell phone to speaker: approx 10 feet (but not pointed directly at the speaker)
