After only five weeks of playing, I got to experience my first live performance with a thrown-together country band. We didn't win our battle of the bands, but what a great learning experience! I'll try to add a couple photos for you guys to see.
And thanks to Bobbe Seymour for talking me into getting that Sho-Bud. I've loved playing it since day one!

That rig would sound even better in Tuscaloosa; right on the 50 yard line at Bryant-Denny Stadium. |

| Kyle, I played with a band for the first time in June of 2004. It was at a steel guitar show known as the Georgia Peach Jam. I played with a band a friend of mine is in called Timeless Highway, and I bought my two pedal steels from Steel Guitar Nashville, too. I have cerebral palsy in my left hand, but I love playing steel guitar. Playin' onstage for the first time is a wonderful experience. Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10 |

| Kyle, I am so proud of you. The picture shows me you are a young man and we need more young steel players. I was 19 when I started playing steel and it has brought me many years of fun and enjoyment. Getting with a band is a great way of learning. I remember what Jeff Newman always said. "You will learn more with a band in one hour than you will all day long by yourself". It will teach you how to work with other musicians and learn how to play behind the singer, playing fills, harmonies and kickoffs. Congratulations on your first live performance and I am sure there will be many more to come. Best wishes. |

Thanks for all the encouragement! It truly is more valuable playing with a band, Paul. I will be in Athens, GA, at JR's Bait Shack on Friday night, April 21st if anyone is in the area. Thanks again!
