Performing an Eddie Hinton cover with the Drive by Truckers. My favorite steel player

Caught this last night. A great player - super tasteful, wonderful tone, highly musical...plus he's in one of the finest bands of this past decade! Looking forward to seeing them in person tomorrow night in Peekskill NY

I've had the Mullen for about a year and a half, but the Fallon show was pretty much it's first time out of the house, and I've played every show with it since. I put a Tonealigner in it, and have been real happy with it and still love the Rains.

John Neff and the Truckers were on Conan last night. There is a link to the video.

John if you read this and don't mind answering, what is your 4th pedal used for? I noticed you had it on your Rains and now on your Mullen also.

Darren,
The 4th pedal is the "Franklin" pedal, which lowers strings 5,6, and 10 a whole step. It was kinda funny, we had to redo the song on Conan due to a wardrobe malfunction. Conan, and the whole audience left the studio, and we replayed it.

I was always looking out for a new record by Eddie Hinton. Good to see that his memory is kept alive!
This band is very good.
Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube.
