The April edition of the recorded continuous airing of "Swingin' West" is up on the Internet on twangtownusa.com. It will be on 24 hours a day seven days a week over and over, for the entire month.
The theme for this month, April, is live Western Swing from radio, TV, live shows and dances, etc. You will hear a Bob Wills grouping with Bob Wills & the Texas Playboys live on the Grand Ole Opry in 1948 as well as the Jimmy Day band in 1989 and another wonderful steel guitarist, a young Jeff DeMaio at the PSGA on steel and vocal in 1988. Former Texas Playboys Leon McAuliffe and Tommy Duncan are part of a 1960s Riverside Ballroom, Phoenix, AZ set as well with the establishment’s terrific house band, Bob Fite & the Western Playboys. Other memories from Western Swing history feature the Miller Brothers Band on Tulsa TV in 1957, the super Billy Thompson band in the early 1970s with a young Ronnie Miller shining on steel and Katie Thompson on vocal. You will enjoy the National Band of Texas- The River Road Boys, from their recent hit Live CD as well as Al Dressen, Asleep At The Wheel and Rex Allen with the Men of the West featuring Jay Riley on steel guitar. Other treats include Ray Price and the Cherokee Cowboys live in 1987 with Buddie Hrabal on steel and Rich O’Brien on lead and another twangetownusa.com air personality, Hermann Lammers Meyer live on Ernest Tubb’s Midnight Jamboree in 2002 with Buddy Emmons on steel guitar.
The recorded edition of "Swingin' West" can always be heard by clicking the mouse on the appropriate spot on the bottom of the home page of the "Swingin' West" web site www.swinginwest.com
The show starts following a two minute commercial that can be swiped through on your real player device if you prefer.
Thank You!

Rick,
I can't thank you enough for listening! It is so much added pleasure to hear that you enjoyed it and also that you are looking forward to coming back and listening to it over again.
It is full of good Western Swing and Steel Guitar and I do invite all to listen whenever it works into your schedule.
