Carter Starter And Fixed Income

I posted earlier that I ha a Carter starter that was in pretty rough shape,and in need of pull rods.i have taken care of the pull rod problem--welding rods,lol-and now I am replacing the knee lever stops for booth knee levers that move left.
I realize that the Starter is not ,nor never will be a pro model guitar,but,there is something about making a silk purse out of a cows ear that sticks in my mind.
So with that said,,I will post a picture of the machine when it is done,,and I hope to amaze some skeptics who have told me not to waste mt time .

Mike I don't doubt for a minute that you will make something out of that starter. It is amazing what regular shop tools and a positive mind can produce.

HERE IS WHAT THE STARTER LOOKS LIKE NOW,I WILL FOLLOW IN A FEW WEEKS WITH AN UPDATE WITH NEW PICS.

Mike,
I recall viewing a post three or four years ago from an individual who used a Carter Starter on tour for approximately three weeks, and the only real problem he experienced with it was "walking" due to it being so light.

I had a Carter Starter myself for a couple of years, and then upgraded to a Carter pro model SD-10.

I too am rooting for you, and look forward to the pics upon completion.
