The whole band was great. Those mandolin licks were pretty hot as well. Loved Wild Rose!

And if I'm not mistaken (which is very often the case) the singer is Pam Perry-Combs who is one of the headliners at Renfro Valley.

Wild Rose
I have never a female band I have liked,or would even listen to.The one I remember in Vegas used very good musicians. Being so damn old is the only thing I can think of ,why I have never heard of these VERY FINE MUSICIANS !
I don't buy cd;s Much, cause I usually make them. If they have one somewhere I would like one for the car.Yes, I thought that was how fast I use to play my tele.I had 19 of them.I found out it was not the Guitar. But I don't think I was that fast. The thumb pick is the key to the speed.
My new strat(88) played five times at home, could not play as fast as the tele. but The Strat is the most popular guitar in the world.(fender says).
I am now a fan of the girls.

We had them one year in the nineties for the "Chesapeake Jubilee" which is a local festival held each May in Chesapeake, Va They literally tore the place apart. Wanda played fiddle, lead guitar and pedal steel on the show and did an outstanding job on each. What was cute was that she was wearing a mini skirt but had a curtain around her steel so the "perverts" couldn't check out anything they weren't supposed to check out when she was playing that steel. All of the ladies didn't have to take a backseat to any guy out there, they surpassed most of the other major acts in their time. I believe the bass player was married to Steve Hinson who's on this Forum I believe. They initially got together to be Porter Wagoner's "Right Combination" all girl band with another steel player who's name I can't remember.......JH in Va.
Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!!
Superb picking. These ladies prove that glamour and musicianship can go hand in hand.
Show Pro D10 - amber (8+6), MSA D10 Legend XL Signature - redburst (9+6), Infinity SD10 (4+5) Sho-Bud Pro 111 Custom (8+6), Emmons black Push-Pull D10 (8+5), Zum D10 (8x8), Hudson pedal resonator. Telonics TCA-500, Webb 614-E,

Pam Gadd was the banjo player with Wild Rose. Donna Hammitt relieved Wanda of steel duties later on before she joined Bill Anderson's band.
They were at the ISGC a few years ago and they honked
John, they cut 2 or 3 albums. I'm sure a search online will turn up the info.
Wanda's resumé is impressive. Studio work all over the place.
She plays everything with strings on it and probably other instruments as well.
Jerry, I don't know if she was with Wild Rose or not, but the lady that played in the all girl band with Porter was Lisa Spears.

Mrs.Hinson wasn't a member of Wild Rose...she played bass with Porter Wagoner for seven years and was there for a while after Wanda and the others left to form Rose...Kathy Mac was the bass player with Wild Rose and now owns a studio instrument cartage company in Nashville...Wanda is a great musician and is married to Mark Burchfield,a great bass player...I see them both on sessions around town.
