It was a great treat to see Cindy and Herb, side by side, at the "Bob Wills Reunion" in San Marcos TX last year. The looks they gave each other throughout the night were priceless!! Herb's musical vocabulary and sense of humor (quoting other songs, including TV theme songs, during solos) was on full display and their mutual respect was palpable.

I saw Cindy a few weeks back with Dave Alvin and the Guilty Women. She played dobro and her Sierra 8 string. The show was awesome and it was a masterclass just watching her respond to what her bandmates were playing. Tasteful and musical. The tune Boss Of The Blues was swinging!

"A legend and a legend to be"

Actually, what I see is two seperate legends. One younger, one older.
