Lonnie,
I got mine http://www.webpak.net/~dfullmer/lapsteel.jpg
and lovin' it. Had Ted install the dobro pre-amp option. Sounds more like a Dobro than a Dobro, without the amplification problems. This unit has balls.

I believe what you have is a Deluxe CC-8 Melobar lap steel. Lonnie is refering to the Melobar Super Steel that is able to have a second or third neck attached to it.

Your right Roger, thats the super steel I'm looking for. Although I do own a CC-8 and love it. The super steel had peaked my intrest because I'm impressed with the quality of Melobar's workmanship.

The pictures of the Melobar SuperSteel are included in the special price list on Melobar's web site, which is in Microsoft Word format. If you have Microsoft Word installed on your computer, click here to load the document and view the pictures.

Hey guys,
I did a rather major update to the Melobar site last week and added the SuperSteels to the lap steel pages (you may need to go there and hit refresh). Anyway, you can see it in the drop down list of lap steel models. It doesn't follow the normal page layout just 'cause there were so many pictures that Ted wanted out there. But you can pretty much have a look at them from any angle now.

Have fun!
Casey

ps ... one of these days I'll talk Ted into doing his "hot sheet" in Adobe Acrobat format so it's easier to deal with. Image

pss ... there's also some changes to the Melobro's too .. new model, pics, etc. Where does Ted find the time???

Casey,
I heard that Ted has leag brackets or flanges that can attach to a CC-8. If this is true would you post pics or specs. on them? Does it mount flush to the body of the guitar?
Thanks

He does have an adapter type thing that attaches to the back of a CC8 .. he has them on the HotSheet I think .. but you can also click below to see the two pictures: http://www.melobar.com/specials/lap_stand01.jpg http://www.melobar.com/specials/lap_stand02.jpg

Hope this helps.
