Stringmaster D8 Drawings

Post by Russ Cudney »

Would like to get drawings, and/or dimensions to draw a D8 in Autocad. Ideally if someone in the SF bay area has one I could pull measurements from. After my drawing completions, I would gladly post/share on the forum.
Thanks,
Russ

Russ,

These references might be a starting point for you if you receive no response for a "loaner.

This is an example of one of six I have built using the dimensions in the references above.

The dimensions were taken off a D-8 and a Q-8 I owned, and D-8s and T-8s I have repaired for others. I think you will find the measurements to be very accurate.

Big thanks John. That's enough to get my construction lines going. I have a bridge/pickup/controls mounting plate which I will draw and post as well.

Here is the first drawing of the plate. I still have to add the side view and the dimples that hold the bridge cover:

Just bought one on Ebay.

Now I'll be able to do full detailed drawings.
