While the link (and the title of this thread) says "18" musicians were killed, the linked article actually says that "2" musicians were killed. Either way, it's a terrible thing, but I wonder where the "18" came from? _________________ www.JimCohen.com

something similar, happened at Demens Den in Nashville late 70's. The shooter requested a Merle Haggard song, singer didn't comply, and was shot and killed. |

Gratuitous reference to artist, no doubt. I used to play in a band that proudly declared the bandstand a "Garth-Free Zone". _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

The grenade throwing is what really blows me away. There are tough joints, then there are places where grenades land on stage. _________________ Jackson Steel Guitars

Don't worry Scott Shipley. You can't sing like my good friend " Toby Keith " and he sure ain't gonna sing like you. Nice Statement of high-jacking him into something he has nothing to do with. Why? Leo J.Eiffert,Jr |

Sorry if I offended your delicate sensibilities Leo. As far as I know, there ain't anybody anywhere comparing my singing to that of a goat either, lol.
It's called mirth, lighten up.

I remember that. A guitar player named Daryl was killed out in the street after the gig. Gee Haw Jones was the bass player and Wayne Kincaid was the steel player.

All the bands I play in are "PG" - Pre Garth - although as bands go, we're more like "R". _________________ C#

WOW, BEYOND UNCOOL! I remember a drunk one nite in the old Refectory in Fresno in the early seveties requesting "Okie from Meskogee" by saying I want ya tuh play Okie from Meskogee or I'm gonna kick your ass! I replied, "Well ya better start kickin cause I aint playin it!" and went to the restroom expecting him to follow and a rumble to ensue or my Martin D-21 broken! but I got lucky and nothin happened.
This was a lucky nite for me I guess. _________________ Dana Blodgett

Killer.
Mexico's dire situation — induced by American illicit consumers (or the prohibition which makes the export so profitable) — is so horrific, it pains one to ponder it. |

And you guys call yourselfs neighborhood pros who love to pick on a billy goat that you can't even get in his shoes or play for the NFL with your own what ever you have. And people wonder what's wrong with this world. To many off the wall educated self -teachers with totally dis-respect with serious head troubles to keep themselfs happy in a dead world they live in.I'm just saying to much taboo for a free shot of fight night.Just cough it up and you'll feel much better at yourself. Also,if it seem like I'm standing up to Toby Keith, you sure got that right.Sincerely in Country Music and any Style,Leo J.Eiffert,Jr. & his Pigeons band with pigeon dropping everywhere. |

Hey Barry,I already sing like an old billy goat and had to put chicken wire around the band cage to keep us pigeons safe in the coop. If somebody wants to murder me,go ahead I need the rest.Just let me know where I need to be so you can get a good shot. I've been through all of this stuff before and God He Ain't Cheap,he got them. But,to be blame for some one's own doing, that's wrong. Getter done & stay cool could them real shooters are out there. Leo J.Eiffert,jr. & his Pigeons band with droppings. |
