Hi, every one , have a small problem,trying to wire up a fender double 6, it states on a wiring diagram,10 linear pot on tone pot, all others are 250 k pots is there a difference?? any help much apreciated.

Hi Michael
Yes, there is a difference.
250k audio for the volume controls, 1 meg linear for the tone controls, not sure about the blend control, but I think it's also 250k audio...Jerry |

HELLO,JERRY,THANK YOU FOR YOUR INFO,YES YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT 250K BLENDING POTS,JUST WONDERING THE AVAILIBILTY,OF THE 1 LINNEAR POT WOULD BE ?? CAN YOU TELL WHAT THE DIFFERENCE WOULD BE AS I AM NOT TO SURE MYSELF.

Hi Michael
With a 1 meg linear tone pot, the change from very bassy tone to treble tone is very rapid, with a small rotation of the control. With an audio taper pot, the change would be more gradual...Jerry |
