Hope none of you have done this. Did a recording session today in Minneapolis. When loading after the session I put the Hilton pedal on the back Tonneau cover of my Ranger, loaded up the rest...need I say more? Back to Goodrich and pots for me. At least for awhile after that dumb*** move. |

A few years ago Bobby Boydd in California (played for Danny Michaels, Hank Thompson and others), placed his pedal rack on top of his pickup camper and forgot it. Since it wasn't too far to the club, when he noticed it was gone, He backtracked and found the pedal rack. It had been run over by countless cars and several 18 wheelers and was totally in pieces. This was an old Sho-Bud with the cast aluminum pedal rack. He said that was the hardest gig he ever played with only 4 knee levers. Luckily, Blackie Taylor fixed him up with a new rack the next day. Probably cost more than your Hilton.
Sorry to high Jack your thread. |

Well, Jim Bob, it doesn't make me feel much better. I didn't even realize it until I got home, 20 miles later. It's probably in many pieces. I just got the old Matchbox and Goodrich out of mothballs and my RP is such a great PSG that everything will be fine. I will have another, eventually though. _________________ Mullen RP D10, Peavey NV112, Hilton volume. Hound Dog reso. Piles of other stuff. |

Mick, You will enjoy how good a old Goodrich pot pedal sounds. I have been playing around with a old Fender PA135 head. Changed some of the tone stacks to blackface and found out I don't need a Hilton or Black Box . Sounds nice ! _________________ Bill |

I'm not too worried, I used pot pedals for about 28 years before I got my Hilton. I was actually doing some recording with it Saturday night, and with the Match Box it sounds real fine. I also put in one of Tom Bradshaw's Dunlop pots in it awhile back so I got that going also. Gotta admit though, I love the crispness of the Hilton and will get another. _________________ Mullen RP D10, Peavey NV112, Hilton volume. Hound Dog reso. Piles of other stuff. |
