Dugg.....

Post by Mike Kowalik »

What a shame.....the man was a great singer and loved fiddles and steel.....I've just about worn out my copy of his "Sounds Like Texas" cd.

This is such a shock. I read posts on facebook
almost daily that Dugg wrote. Please details
when available. I did not know he had any health
problems. He was such a good man,and never got the
credit he deserved for his beautiful voice.
Thanks to Jim Losseberg for the CD he did with Dugg.
I know he is happy to be reunited with his beloved
wife. God speed my friend. I will miss you.
I will always treasure your friendship and music.
God bless his family and friends,in their time of
sorrow and need.

Terrible news. Dugg and I had become friends over the past couple years. Rest in peace my brother.

It was on the TV news out of Wichita this morning. They just said he died at his home. He sure could sing the good ones. He has had a rough couple of years lately.
Good bye Uncle Dugg

What a GREAT singer. He was quite the country music historian. He seemed to everything about everything in country music, more especially the old days. i.e. Wills, Thompson, Price, Young, Bush just to name a very few. This is truly a great loss to all of us and will be truly missed by all that knew him.

May Jesus welcome Dugg with open arms.
Keep pickin', Larry

Yeah we're gonna miss uncle Dugger!!! He used to play anything I would send him.
My uncle Bob would call me and ask how much I was paying Dugg Cause he always included a cut or two on his Saturday morning western swing show on the radio ranch....Dugg is a class act. He was going out every now and then and singing with my Pop and Pat. (The Kickshiker Band) and would always email me afterwords. He was a great guy and a great friend. We were scheduled to play a show in Turkey this April...I'll sing and play one for you my friend...I always enjoyed his friendship and will again someday.

It’s hard to express the depth of a loss like this one. I first met Dugg in 2007 at a show in Kansas and was honored to share the same stage with him. We were friends from that day forward. I’ll always remember his kindness, his sensitivity and his smile. He sang from the heart and his heart was “bigger” than Texas. Rest in peace my friend. I will miss you and remember you always.
