CLOSE***SOLD****Emmons SD10 Push Pull for sale

Post by Mike Dougherty »

1981 Emmons SD10 3x4 push-pull in wood mica with original case, custom-made cover, and lift kit. Guitar is in good working condition, but could use a tune-up by someone who is good with pp’s. I believe this has the cut-tail design bridge on it.

Asking $2,100 plus shipping, but will consider reasonable offers.

This guitar is all about classic Emmons push-pull tone. Unfortunately, I am more about classic Sho-Bud tones. To me it’s kind of like playing a Tele and trying to make it sound like a Les Paul...I might get in the ballpark, but it just never quite feels right.

I just realized the serial number doesn’t show clearly in the photos - it is 181 ST, and according to Emmons’ records was originally sold to the same store in 1981 where I found her 17 years later. I guess there’s not a whole lot of places for a steel to wind up on the Central Coast of California.

For those who are serious and need more pics - pm me your email & I'll shoot 'em over to you.

Sold - donation sent.
As Bill Flores often tells me: "You only have to carry it for ten minutes, but you have to listen to it all night."
