Rotary Speaker Stomp-Box
In the 70's, I had a "leslie" stomp-box. I cannot remember the name of it and wondered if anyone else had one. To the best of my memory it looked like a MXR Phase 90 but that was a long time ago.

It was probably the Pro Junior.
These days I use an H&K Rotosphere. It really nails that Leslie sound - even the resonance of the cabinet. It works well in mono or stereo, and includes a 12AX7 preamp tube for the overdrive sound.

I know this has been a dead thread for a while, but wanted to revamp it...
Strymon is about to announce a new pedal, which we are all thinking is a leslie/rotary effect...it's called Lex...will have more details very soon, but knowing Strymon's reputation, this could be a great Leslie effect (if it truly turns out to be one)...
I got their El Capistan (tape echo) a few months ago and this is the best sounding tape echo except the old EP-3's of course...so, hoping to add a rotary to the Steel pedal board...
Anyone currently use one with PSG or have any audio clips?

These guys over at Strymon (previously called Damage Control) are some of the very brightest designers I know of. They're doing things with digital processing that is as impressive as anything anyone is doing out there. Strymon is also making two of the very best delay pedals available, and with an analog dry path. Great stuff, very smart, and cool people to deal with. I can only imagine that this Lex leslie simulator is gonna be as good as they get.

Brad, completely agree! When the El Cap was coming out, I was full of questions, as I was almost about the get an EP3....They were great answering, informing, and treating me like they knew me for years....And yes, bright they are!Brad Sarno wrote:These guys over at Strymon (previously called Damage Control) are some of the very brightest designers I know of. I also agree about their delays being some of the best...the El Cap is hands down the best board/gig friendly tape echo sim...The Brig is a good delay, but always more of a tape echo guy...
BTW, I'd love to chat some regarding the Rev vs. SMS...
