The March edition of the recorded continuous airing of "Swingin' West" is up on the Internet on twangtownusa.com. It will be on 24 hours a day seven days a week over and over, for the entire month.
The theme for this month, March, is just a lot of good Western Swing. You will hear a Texas grouping with The Texas Panhandle Band, Don Edwards and former Bob Wills Texas Playboy Herb Remington with his son Mark on vocal. Other former Texas Playboys in the spotlight will be Leon Rausch with Johnny Gimble and Maurice Anderson with Reece’s very talented wife in the vocal spotlight on duet with Leon. Other former Texas Playboys in the spotlight will be Steel Guitar Hall of Fame legend Billy Bowman and fiddle great Frankie McWhorter when he was singing with the Miller Brothers Band. You will enjoy the National Band of Texas- The River Road Boys, salute Tommy Duncan, Jimmy Wakely saluting Bob Wills and Starla Queen and the Jazzabillies from their wonderful new hit CD. Another new CD that will be spotlighted will be that of Colorado singer-songwriter Nancy Thorwardson. Other treats include Reid Wells and Segovia 1862 with the top “Swingin’ West” song of 2005 and John England and the Western Swingers from the top “Swingin’ West” CD of 2005. There is also a great recording by Tommy Thompson & Swinging Country, Curtis Potter and also the late steel guitar legend Curly Chalker.
The recorded edition of "Swingin' West" can always be heard by clicking the mouse on the appropriate spot on the bottom of the home page of the "Swingin' West" web site www.swinginwest.com The show starts following a two minute commercial that can be swiped through on your real player device if you prefer.
Thank You!

Jody,
Whenever I see you it is a pleasure!
I even play material by Dodgers fans if it is good and your material definitely is that. Of course SF Giants fans and my listeners get priority. Only kidding!

Jody,
If you want a good laugh, listen to Mike's show this Friday at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time. He will be featuring a handsome old man who used to play steel with the Golden West Cowboys.

Ha Ha Roy, first off, you are NOT!!! an old man. Secondly you are too, too, modest. You are a GREAT steel player who rightfully belongs in the Steel Guitar Hall Of Fame.
It is my good fortune to have met you in St.Louis back in 2004 at the ISGC. It was my pleasure as well as my late wife's wish to see the ceremonies. You my friend stand out as a legend of steel players. My Love to your
wife Laurie as well and for all the support and help the both of you have extended to me and Marilyn. Happy Trails to you Until we meet again.
Be well my friend. Keep in touch |
