Do you get radio signals coming through your RP155. I bought one early last year when I needed a light processor with good reverb. Whenever I hooked it up, I got a radio station bleeding through. I put it aside and forgot about it for a while. When I got around to dealing with it it still has the same problem.
My return period at GC went by and I couldn't return it. I never registered it so I can't get Digitech support. As it is, I have an expensive doorstop.
Is this kind of problem common for this device?

Karlis - are you up north by Arlington and are you getting Morse code? (special case of interference)
Or near Bremerton and getting radar pops? (My friend got those on his stereo once.)
Or just a regular am station?
You might try with different guitars to see if it is the box or the guitars. Or maybe a cable?
A 50pF capacitor across the input might take care of stray radio signals. |

What I get is AM radio. I have experimented with different cables, connections, amps, mixers, etc. When I hook it up to an amp or mixer by itself, I still get the radio station.
I suspect that there was a failure in manufacturing that turned an ordinary circuit into a radio receiver.

I've used an RP155 for a year or so and I haven't had any problems with it.

Sounds like you've got it figured out, Karlis.
I have a RP50 and a RP150 that I got used really beat up and they have both worked fine.
I did experience a bad hum problem with the RP50 when not using the specified AC adapter. My fault not Digitech's. They don't like over voltage. But it didn't fry it. Pretty sturdy. The right voltage made it run just fine. |
