I know there have been lots of discussions about lubrication of the steel on the Forum. Any suggestions on a good cleaner/degreaser product for cleaning the steel before lubing it up again? |

Adam,I use Ronson lighter fluid in the yellow plastic bottle.I put some news paper under the changer and then shoot some fluid, paper towels work well. _________________ Steeltronics Z-pickup,Desert Rose S-10 4+5,Desert Rose Keyless S-10 3+5... Brake parts cleaner or boil the parts in Simple Green and water, then again in clean water. _________________ Chris Lucker

I stripped and degreased the changer in the Emmons PP I had, twice. I used carburetor cleaner to remove the crap from the changer fingers and other parts before reassembling.
But, I would only recommend this if you are disassembling. |

Naphtha works well, too, and it's cheap. |

I was probably just going to go for a clean and re-lube without disassembling this time. Thanks for the suggestions guys! |
