or at least thats what I'll be saying on March 25th. Coming over for a week and staying at St. Pete's beach in Florida and meeting up with some friends from Canada. Anyone know of any clubs, bars, pubs or any other venue in that area where I could maybe see and hear some steel players? |

Patrick,
Not a lot of country music clubs in the St. Pete area. I haven't been there in about 8 or 9 years but you might ask if "Joyland" is still open on US Route 19 in St. Pete. They used to have live country bands on weekends with the occasional steel player. Also ask about another country bar farther north on US 19 in Palm Harbor (can't remember the name of it).
Clywdd sounds like it's in Wales. I went to helicopter school at RAF Valley near Holyhead about 20 years ago....
Have a good trip to "the colonies" - the beaches are real nice in the Clearwater/St. Pete area. Even if you can't find a country bar, there's lots of good beach bars with great "scenery"

Hi Jeff. Thanks for the posting, I've made a note of the info you sent. Yes I am in Wales, not too far from where you were. I'm in North-east Wales not far from the Wrexham area. Co-incidentally my son is a helicopter pilot in the British Military, but don,t know if he was ever at the same place as you. Yes I know what you mean about the "scenery" on the beach. I was in Miami Beach last year. Wow talk about "eye candy". Bye fer now.............Pat |
